Say yes to food trucks at your wedding!

April 2, 2017

When thinking about the menu at your wedding do you cringe at the thought of chafing dishes and carving stations? Well thanks to a new trend in mobile cuisine you can now have a more social and custom dining experience through food trucks!

Many couples have been hiring these meals on wheels as late night bites for their guests, cocktail hour and sometimes for the whole dinner. You can pretty much find any type of food you would like to serve these days and it can also be very cost effective.

Instead of sending guests home with a favor they will never use and throw in a drawer, consider a food truck serving cupcakes, ice cream, coffee or a signature beverage all customized by you! It's a sweet treat that will have your friends and family talking about on the way home as they enjoy an indulgence.

New Jersey is home to some of the greatest snacks and treats all served up on some amazing food trucks. Some of our favorites include Ahh! La Cart where you can find hotdogs, hamburgers and tacos. If you are looking for Mexican food fingers, try Taco Shellys for nachos, empanadas and tacos.

If a sweet treat is what you crave, may we suggest Flirty Desserts and Cupcake Carnivale.

A New Jersey staple to end a night of dancing is a pork roll sandwich which your guests can chow down on with a cup of coffee from Johnny's Pork Roll Truck.

Some things to keep in mind when deciding on a food truck:

  1. The price can vary depending on the size of your crowd and the day of your event.

  2. If you are having a large crowd (over 150 people) or want a truck to serve your main meal, hire multiple trucks so they can keep up with the demand.

  3. Find out if the truck needs a permit to park at the venue, street or private property through your local municipality.
