April 14, 2017

When you are planning a wedding beyond the typical ballroom it means truly having a one of a kind wedding. It also means bringing together your vision and lots of rental items!

There are many moving parts when planning this type of DIY wedding but hiring a wedding coordinator can help you take on a lot of the overwhelming tasks that can make any bride want to pull her veil out.

Unique venues such as farms, beaches, winery's and the like offer a blank canvas to expressing your creativity and telling your love story but listed below are a few important things to keep in mind before you sign.

Check if you need permits for renting the venue or bringing in any items such as food, music or alcohol.

Ask about any restrictions with decorating, music, start and end time of the wedding and parking.

Have a plan B in case of bad weather if the site is outdoors. Renting a tent large enough for your guests is not always something you can add on at the last minute especially in prime wedding season so think ahead.

Accessibility for cars, limos and rental trucks to get on the property. Can vendors get their equipment in the facility? Do guests have a long walk from where the parking is? These are some of the questions you should ask yourself when scoping out a potential wedding location.

These are just some of the things a wedding coordinator  will ask and look for when assisting a couple plan a wedding at a unique location.
