Chelsea and Nicholas' Wedding at The Alice Austen House

July 9, 2017

Traditional banquet halls are not the ideal space for every couple to celebrate their union together. Many recently engaged couples ask me to find them a unique location, with a great view and a space they can make their own. Chelsea and Nicholas decided on the historic Alice Austen House in Staten Island, New York mainly for its breathtaking view of the Verrazano Bridge and its charming facility.

Weddings here take place on the front lawn facing the water with enough space to host your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception under a tent. With the help of Jennifer Tolento Events planning guidance, the day came together and set up was coordinated through Jacques catering and rental company.

The Alice Austen house is equipped with two bathrooms for guests to use and can comfortably accommodate a wedding for 125 guests on the property. Guests may also tour the home and read up on some of the historic facts and take pictures. It's a perfect setting for the couple who enjoys the idea of an outdoor wedding with great views and a little bit of history.
