Should you have open seating at your wedding?
A new trend I have been seeing more of this year is open seating for guests at weddings and special events! There are some pros and cons to this type of arrangement and can be difficult depending on this size of your guest list!
There isn't the dreaded task for the Bride and Groom to figure out where to sit everyone.
Your guests are free to sit with whomever they choose.
It gives your wedding a more casual feel. (if that's the style you are going for)
It makes socializing easier for your family and guests.
Guests might get confused on where to sit since traditionally they are used to being assigned a seat.
If you have a large guest count it can cause of hold up of people being able to find a seat.
Some guests could end up at a table with people they dislike or don't know.
Family members might be offended if they don't find a seat near the bride and groom.
Although this is a newer trend make sure it's something that suites your wedding style and guests personality. The last thing you want is your wedding to start off in a confusing and uncomfortable state. However, if you are looking for a more casual tone with friendly conversation, this might be the way to go!
